Blood Flow Restriction Training

Blood Flow Restriction Training

Blood flow restriction training lets us build real strength using much lighter weights. It creates an environment in the muscle similar to lifting very heavy loads, without actually putting that heavy load on your body. This matters at the stages of recovery when a muscle needs to grow stronger but the joint or the surgical site can't tolerate much weight yet.

The technique also triggers a systemic release of growth hormone that supports muscle growth throughout the body, not only at the spot we're working on.

We use it to prepare for surgery, to recover afterward, and for injuries at any level where the body can't yet handle even its own bodyweight in exercise. Rather than waiting for the tissue to catch up while the muscle weakens, we can promote muscle growth and prevent that loss from the start.
